Where to next? No where unless I move the Monaco. On a watch buying ban this year but watches on the list include the below in no order:

Above my collection from last April from earlier in this thread.

Blnr and the Monaco has both been moved since then. Added a speedmaster and move it on also (it’s above in FGs picture!). Added a Stowa marine and a Nomos Ahoi Atlantic.

Future plans

Not really looking to move anything. Could let the Stowa marine go maybe, almost did two weeks ago. Not sure yet on that one. It’s a lovely watch and not a big €€€€ value percentage of the overall collection but it really punches above its weight and gets a lot of wrist time. The only manual wind piece also.
The VC gets very little wrist time (only one on bracelet...); could let it go but it is irreplaceable as they are difficult to get (sadly that doesn’t mean they are appreciating to a fortune...hard to get and in low demand!).

Looking at my previous lists of want above from last year......meh.........would certainly take a Hulk or blue Monaco if they were available at ease at the right €€ just to scratch the itch but I know they wouldn’t stay.

JLC thin moon! Most definitely. The grey faced gold version pls! Not likely though.

Firmly on the radar is an it an Alange & Sohne. Model, most likely a 3 hander saxonia or one of the plainer 1815’s. But they are all equally lovely.

I was lucky that fitzgeme was wearing it when he was over at mine recently and he let me try it on. Serious watch, but with a little playful wink. I like it more and more too.

Have to say I'm a big fan of the Milgauss. I love the green tint and the orange lightning bold seconds hands. Then again I do like kinda wacky design. *FG throws milgauss up on Adverts*

I like this you know what you like. I have a soft spot for tags myself and would like a monnaco at some point. My collection below, A range of watches, I like different colours and dials. Looking on this thread what I posted before, I was wrong, the speedmaster wears super well and I have worn it a lot. The orange seiko 5 is a fun watch, the ecodrive is never worn...but I am amazed by the technology. Wifes Datejust not pictured, her Tank is a recient addition. Daytona remains my favourite...closely followed by milgauss. Lets hope in 6 months the collection is still intact...strange times.

Problem I have Wibbs with the tanks in ladies size is they are quartz and I find it difficult to spend big buck on a battery watch (I know I know its stupid), just something nice about the hum of an auto at night when you lay your head on it. Also tanks tend to earn their name on the secondary market.

The Milgauss lightening bolt second hand for me is the making of the watch, its so unusual for Rolex to put any bit of flair on a non diamond watch. The flash of the GV glass from the side is so unusual. I suppose as I would class myself as a scientist, the story of the watch resonates with me. One of the few modern 6 digit 40mm Rolex still to be got under retail. Wonder what happened with the chap that found that vintage milgauss? Sounded like he was going to wipe half its value off with a indelicate service.....

If you are getting a Nato its got to be a Bark and Jack nato, I hear they are the best or the best and enhance any watch. Even the most basic, no date submariner for example would look excellent with one. ***in joke here***

I think with the moonwatch its one to own but not one I would wear, chaps seem to flip them a lot, so maybe I would be best to avoid it. That 9001 movement is one I must have and have in the collection, ticks a lot of the boxes..GMT, annual calander, date, month...and that command bezel..oh lord, and its exactly my style too.

I gifted an ex of mine an WW2 issued Zenith DH because she put her eye on it. It did suit funny enough. Smaller size, but not tiny(35mm IIRC) and she was teeny of frame so looked slightly "oversized". I was in lust and figured sure lookit it only cost me 80 quid. DOH! Near a grand today. You can tell the watch turned out to be the larger regret.

*Cue FG reading this and thinking if that aesthetically challenged muppet likes it, WTF? It's going on adverts toute de suite and yes I will take a swap of a dog eaten playstation controller for it.

The Milgauss is an interesting one for me. I'm a fan of the styling of both the blue and blacked dialled current versions, but the second hand is something I just can't seem to get on board with.

Skydweller blue is an amazing piece. They are big watches. I tried on a two tone somewhere. They wear big!

Speedmaster not moving currently! I also have a friend eyeing it up! Need to get a bond nato!

Though this would be a more appropriate forum for a collection. Its coming along nicely. Took some photos of them together before they went off to the vault.

I am very Rolex heavy, why? basically because I dont like losing money and they are very fine and robust and waterproof watches. Maybe I lack imagination, also

. I am more into unusual models and interesting dials. I have had a GMT master and it didnt really float my boat too plain in the dial.

So current Collection:

1. Rolex Milgauss GV black dial - sold this watch and bought it back, maybe my favourite watch. Very interesting dial, wish it had a date and cyclops but it does have a very clean look. Purchased used, then sold, then purchased used again. This one is a 2010 full set.

2. 31mm Two tone Datejust - Mrs. Fitzgemes watch - its her one and done. New from AD a few years ago. Full set.

3. Daytona 116509 - my F off watch. You either know what this is or not. Rare dial on this one and the rarest of the 6 digit Daytonas. Weighs a ton on the wrist. Problem with this watch is that legibility is not fantastic, but who cares, its a solid gold Daytona. Purchased used and needing a new bezel. Was serviced by Rolex so I have service papers now and its in mint condition.

4. Datejust 41mm with romans and blue dial. A nice dressy watch, the fluted bezel really is nice and the size is great. Purchased new from AD. Wearing this a lot. I feel this will depreciate a bit although second hand prices are strong at the moment.

5. Seiko SKX, basic SKX009 with a strapcode bracelet with solid end links. A nice watch, little too thick for me but good as a beater and the reminds me not to buy watches I will not wear. I dont really understand the idea of a beater anyway. If you using a watch in an environment where its likely to get damaged just dont wear a watch. Its a shame to damage any watch. They are man jewelry after all.

My plans...I am on a list for a Skydweller SS with blue dial. If I get that I will flip the DJ 41 as they are similar looking. I would like an Omega Moonwatch (896bet you selling?) I would like a seamaster 300 pro too. Also a JLC Master Control or master calendar.

G Shock GWN Q1000 (Gulfmaster. I just found the function set very cool. Got it for a steal from Casio outlet. Added the bracelet and now I love it. You can use the backlight as a torch.)
G shock GW 5000 (nostalgia buzz. Added bullbars to it. Another great beater. I love the looks and it's uncompromising throwback construction - screwback - G shock fans will know what I mean).
G Shoch GW 9400 (Rangeman. Another great digital watch. I especially like this when I cook. I do a lot of BBQ - my green egg is another obsession - and the easy to press buttons and 000 hour stopwatch and 24 hrs Countdown Timer are very handy. Also you can see actual time in all modes - the G Shock grail lol. The one button press to start the stopwatch should be a function on all digital watches.)

I think that's most of the interesting ones.

Put me off the 36mm Explorer even though I love that watch

Wouldn’t consider older 40 mm model.
Gonna try and hold out for a sub. Was in Belfast other day and tried on a second hand Hulk, it looked terrible on me plus the guy was looking for £4000 over retail.
Tried on black bezel sub looked way better on me, more understated looks better I think.

Explorer 2 black face may look a little too “busy” also but I didn’t get a chance to try one. AD’s in Ireland have no stock and waiting lists are the name of the game. One dealer told me I had to have a “ relationship “ with them before they’d even consider putting me on a list.

There seems to be a few of the Explorer 2s floating around at ADs in the UK. Big watch at 42mm. Would you consider the older model with the 40mm size? Only down side is they have the awful clap that has put me off so many of the older Rolex.

Longines HydroConquest Chronograph quartz L36904536 - doesn't get a lot of wear and might sell. Not a great fan of chronos tbh and won't get another one. Originally wanted the blue auto HydroConquest which I'd still like but got a deal on this

Seiko Neo Classic SRP705K1 - wear a bit and like having a brown strap / white face watch in the collection but could find itself gone if I was to go to one in one out. Longines Master Collection could replace this at one point

Not sure really where to go next - I've built this up over the last year or so. Have my eye on a Tag Heuer Carrera which would need to replace the Longines I'd say. Could always be tempted by a Rolex or Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra and like a few random pieces by Nomos, Mondaine and IWC. I'll add a max of one over the next 12 months and anything else will be something I see in the bargain thread on here and probably replace something I have at the moment.
