Pros - cheaper monthly bill (9.99 as an existing broadband customer vs 60 with Vodafone currently) - double data - WiFi calling - 30 day rolling contract - signal is no better with Vodafone anyway in my experience Cons - early cancellation charge with Vodafone is just under 300 - It's eir. As long as nothing goes wrong it's grand, but.. Very tempted to do it all the same. Am I mad?
4real wrote: » if you do the math yes it's worth your while 10 x 12 = 120 per year 60 x 12 = 720 per year 120 + 300 fee = 420 per year v 720 saving you 300 overall.

Called to local eir store on Saturday and they switched my Vodafone PAUG number. The time from which the eir store started the switch to being on eir was about 10-15min. Now rather than paying €20 every 28days (€21.40/30days), I'm paying €15 every 30days and not having to worry about topping up. As an extra I now have more data, WiFi calling world wide and eir sports mobile which will hopefully will last beyond July.

And then received a text saying my install was scheduled for the morning despite specifically requesting an afternoon install. Hope this is the only hiccup. Otherwise I'll be availing of the cooling off period.

Person I was talking to was clueless. I'm under contract at the moment (for another month or so), so was asking could I terminate existing contract and take the onebigswitch.ie offer for 14.99 for the year. Think offer expires on 10th May - she first told me it doesn't expire til end of July, but then said it could end any day. Then told me my contract ended 4 months ago, when it didn't. In the end advised me to contact the loyalty team. Tried them this morning but had to give up after 10 mins hanging on the phone.
