I'm probably showing my age with most of these, I remember my mother taking my brother and I to see Santy in Buckley's almost 50 years ago, their big draw was they had a real reindeer in the store, it was probably a fallow stag but who'd know the difference, I can still remember the smell, the poor thing was probably traumatised in his little pen which was wrapped in tin foil to make it look festive.

Murrays. They used to do curtains, cushions and that kind of thing. I remember always being dragged in there by my mother on Saturdays. I think it was on Grand Parade.

Mandy's where McDonald's is now on Daunt Square.

Burns Barbers on Parnell Place. Got my first haircut there in the 80s. They used to put a wooden board across the the 2 arms of the barber's chair for me to sit on.

Woolworths on Patrick Street.

Marie rose cafe there and in Savoy.

Used to be burgerland too once upon a time!

They also had one on Patrick st by the Victoria hotel.

Two computer shops I remember frequenting,there was one on Washington st and another on Lavitts quay(owned by Sean beausang).The names of them escapes me.I remember getting my speccy and commodore 64 fixed in them!

Also the Philip's depot up further repairing my Philip's g7000 console!

i remember going to either Burgerland or Pizzaland on Patricks street as they were next to each other. Think they were where Monsoon & Accessorize are now.

Wow that brings back memories!

I remember having a speccy and seeing a printer for it behind the shop window thinking "if I had that I can print any words I type on my spectrum amazing"
