Why so few interracial relationships in Ireland?

There's a lot of relationships between Irish and other Europeans (Spanish, English, Polish, French etc..), Americans and Canadians but I seldom see between Africans or Asians compared to the UK.

Is it an issue with racism or just Ireland hasn't been open to multi-racial immigration long enough like the US and UK.

In my experience, it's only unattractive Irish men/socially awkward men who say Irish women are ugly. Sure other ethnicities may be exotic, but there are definitely many stunning posh women who are of course difficult to get for the average man here giving the impression that they're "high maintenance"

You see it time and time again here, about Irish women, about women in their 30s and beyond and so on. People have preferences, I get that, but you can have preferences without slating those who don't meet your criteria.

Not only has it made landlords millionaires it has brought great vibrancy to the city-centre of Dublin and squeezed out alot of the welfare parasite class from rental accommodation also.

My overall observation of dating people from abroad is that its far, far easier. Its like setting the bar low enough that you can step over it.

All of a sudden, instead of actually needing to be an interesting and attractive person (attractive in every sense, not just physical), everything becomes a crutch.

Realise that if this person was the irish equivalent, you wouldn't be interested in the slightest. And ditto for the other person.

Had a couple of experiences like that when things are just mucking around. But there are a few people I know and theyre just repeat offenders.

Its a lowbar to make yourself/the other person more interesting, its a bit of self-selector when it goes on and on.

Your experience would not be wide enough to draw any conclusions about Irish men in general. Another person might know a dozen unattractive awkward Irish men none of whom think Irish women are ugly.

He/she has a terrible way of phrasing it, but there is certainly an observable truth about it. As I put it, its just "easier" to be going out with a non-irish person for simple reasons.

Ahh I don't know about that, your just setting a limit or a 'absolute' by thinking like that B. You can't just set some absolute for yourself and cut off some real potential to meet a Irish person based on nothing but simple reasoning, y'know?

You could miss out with that sort of absolute reasoning. I wouldn't be going for it IMO, but sure do what ya want yourself

Ah youre picking me up wrong (understandable).

Very generally, its like comparing teenage "relationships" to adult relationships. One is easy-come/easy-go, what you might call "easy" in a lot of ways because it doesn't demand the complexities of adult life.

To me its like a case of growing up, being more mature and facing the difficulties of grown-up relationships.

The easy way, generally, is not the best choice.

In other words if I was single I wouldn't be rushing out to meet non-irish people, quite the opposite.

And theres no harm in mucking around when youre early 20's and so, its just fun.

My eyebrows raise when I see people constantly jumping from one foreign nationality to the next, always 6 months to a year long before the tourist-guide stuff runs its course, neverending.

Back in the real world, you will find that the Irish male will stick it absolutely anywhere he can. Perhaps alcohol cures ignorance. I went out with a Chinese girl for a year or so, was very pleasantly surprised at the purple vagina, it was beautiful.

And my female friends have definitely gotten jungle fever on more than one occasion. Never seen them with an Asian man now that you mention it but I'm not going to read anything into that, as Asians don't really seem to mix as much - where are all the Asians on a night out? ANS: in an Asian only place, walked in to on accidentally one night - the old Isaac Butts - 100% full of Asians, it was weird but I guess they prefer to no integrate as much.

OP sounds like Yuri Gagarin flying up into space and saying he can't see God therefore there is no God!

Peoples attraction to another person is not subject to "racism" anymore than not being attracted to a granny is considered ageism.

I have a fantastic sense of geography, plus language recognition also. I was in a nightclub in Dubai two years ago and had been spying on a fair maiden for a bit, It was obvious she was central Asian and I penned her in as Kazakh, I approached her rather sheepishly and asked her what the weather was like in Almaty right now, it went down an absolute charm and her English was excellent. That was a very good night, turns out she was from Astana but her mother was from Almaty.

I think certain things just come naturally, especially if you spend enough time around airports and travelling the world, the more you study the human psyche and female mind the more interesting it gets. I can listen to a person talking I would be able to categorise them to their country fairly easy.
