Logic would suggest the exact opposite - your reasoning states that the team in better form will be punished by it.

I know what you're getting at, in a fuzzy sort of a way, but that only applies to unknowns. As far as actual odds/probability are concerned, all that matters is the next 6 games. The fact that it would create an unlikely total winning run of 14 games was only relevant before that run began.

Doesn't work like that unfortunately theres no reason they should drop points within the nxt six games just because they haven't in the previous 13,ive seen first hand black turning up on a roulette wheel 21 times in a row, after 6,7,8,9,10 spins logic would say it must go red at some point but it didn't

Yeah, was clearly never going to do that. He was just making a point, that against the big teams you simply never a decision, so there's no point in even trying to take them on.

Shows the depth of their squad that they can make so many changes.

At this stage of the season I'm so reminded of 5 years ago. The nervous anxiety of our games and hoping we'll win, and keeping an eye on all of City's games in the hope they'll drop points somewhere! And as stressful as it is, and as much as I really hope we can win it this time, I'm also reminded that it's been 5 bloody years since we've had this chance. And another 5 years before that again. So I'm just grateful that I have a chance to feel this way again, it doesn't happen often. It's such a great season so far, and it's not over yet!

I really think Henderson is the weaker link in midfield and should only start if there is injuries. He's a really good player, it's just that we have 3 other central midfielders that are better.
Origi is painfully unproven to have as our main attacking substitution, especially at this late stage of the season. Sturridge and Shakira are vastly better options going from experience. If we need a last minute goal against Porto or whoever, I'd have Lallana and a not match fit Chamberlain ahead of Origi as well.
Not saying Origi is bad, but we definitely have better. I mean he has 25 international caps for Begium already and nearly 60 appearances for Liverpool, he's not exactly a kid bursting to get onto the scene who's being held back.

I'd like us to win it in whatever fashion boils the most piss of opposition fans. Like being totally outplayed by Wolves only to win it 5 minutes into 2 minutes of stoppage time with an offside goal scored by a bloke who should have been sent off in the first minute of the game.

But mostly I just want us to win it, any bloody way we can!
