What are the Top 4 purchases you've ever made?

I mean in terms of purchases or investments that have drastically affected the course or satisfaction of your life.

Mine are:

1. My Masters degree, which I got in 2011. It saved me from a life of drifting and kickstarted my career, which has turned out to be unexpectedly lucrative.
Cost: EUR 2,500 + loan of EUR 10,500 to keep myself afloat through that time.

2. A month-long trip to the South Pacific with my wife. We did a very cheap wedding (about 2500 euro) but splurged somewhat a year later on the trip of a lifetime to French Polynesia. Such amazing memories of that time.
Cost: EUR 10,000

3. A specially commissioned family tree going back 9 generations to the year 1702. Something all the family can enjoy and hang on their walls, something to show my children which can place them in history and explain where they've come from.
Cost: EUR 650

4. A book on personal finance and index investing. Has transformed my life and given me good habits and a lot more money than I ever thought I'd have.
Cost: EUR 20

A 1999 peugeout 206 i bought about 5 years ago for 400 quid, managed to get it thru the nct and got 5 grand for it in scrappage off a new car.
A pair of levis from tk maxx for 20 quid, lasted me about 8 years.
A good accountant.
Some magic beans.
