Lots of renovations are being done to the ex furniture unit.

Wooza Pizza is open in Middle Street again - same place as before, but I know they did some work on the inside.

Former Vina Mara premises also being renovated. Now has a sign up saying Papa'z opening early March.

They have taken a huge chunk of road there for pedestrians not sure why they could not put it on the footpath instead of where it is, it was a bottle neck there today

Looks class will be a great addition to the area. Hotel 2 mins from eyre square will clean up

Probably artistic license. They don't seem to bother making that kind of things to scale.

Did anyone notice something going on with the space between the Vic and Le Petite Pois? I've noticed the doors open and activity recently and it looks like there's a planning permission notice up (could be there for a while though). Anyone remember what used to be in there? Looks like it could have been an arcade or something from the building shape.

Yes it was quite a good space there

Plans for this there , I would say they are replanning things to go back in again for a revised version of this hotel block

Thanks guys. I knew someone would know what used to be there. Snooker hall makes sense. Holy flip that plan looks mental. Got fairly slated by the planners too. Looks like something from a Wes Anderson movie. Quirky and out-of-keeping with the surroundings.

Aldi Westside closed for renovations. Will reopen on March 7.
Be warned that this is currently causing mayhem at the Knocknacarra Aldi. Cars queuing for parking spots and very busy at the checkouts too.

I was in yesterday evening and staff were stripping stock off the shelves. Passed later last night and there were 9 lorries in the car park with more arriving! It must be one of the "Project Fresh" refurbs that they're rolling out across the country... looking forward to it.

Probably go in with a big plan first to see if it will get through and revert then with another if no go !
More hotels needed though so will likely happen in the end

Also I believe Sale and lease just means that the buyer will become Easons new landlord rather than Easons moving out of one of the key shop street locations.

Considering the cost of land these days 8m kinda seems like a decent bargain. But maybe their long term relationship there brings the cost down
