€25k invested in prize bonds

Hiya,
Thought I'd update this thread on the success (or not) of €25k (yes, €25,000) I invested in PBs since February.

Purpose of this thread is to give some indication of the success rate of PBs for the ordinary punter as I assume €25k is large amount to invest in one go.

Planning to keep it in there for a year or so.

Have an investment of 60 grand in these. Havnt won a thing since December 2017 and last Friday had 3 separate wins of €50 each . Seems a bit coincidental and odd all on the one week. Normal service of no wins has resumed this week

I found a £20 punt certificate from 1995 when cleaning out old boxes at home before xmas, i remember it was a birthday gift from a great aunt. Checked it and not won a sausage in 24 years.
Topped it up to €1,000 total in november, not won anything since. Reading this thread, might just withdraw it all shortly...

Not really remarkable given the random nature of the draw. After looking at only 4 pages out of 462 for 15 Feb, I find this:

The software has no way of "knowing" who owns the bonds. The bottom three worth circa €40K could have belonged to one person. Far more common is gaps of hundreds of thousand between winners, as shown in the first three. I have a €225 bond from March 2010 which was 3 winners in the same draw when the prize was €75. There are only a few people active on the thread, so we would not be aware of stuff like this in general.

Your €60K would expect to win 4 prizes in any 52 draws with average luck. Regardless of whether it is in one block, or made up of smaller amounts.

Yes your definitely on a roll, I won €100 in 2018, but nothing so far in 2019 and I've 60k.

You are not alone my friend, I've 60k and 100bonds from the 1980s, won twice in 2018, but nothing so far this year in 2019, maybe the wheel will turn in our favour soon, I've given up posting weekly now with the same ''NOTHING AGAIN THIS WEEK'' so just post when I win, which probably won't be too often:(
