CatInABox wrote: » Not sure if it's a cop out or just realism. The last management team has many mistakes, and Crackdown 3 is one of them. At a certain point, you have to just release, and get back the development resources so we can make another game, even if it's a stinker. I'll wait for the reviews, but I have Game Pass anyway, so I'll be playing it regardless.
Fred The Red wrote: » That's a bit of a cop out for them considering it's 5 years in the making. I was a fan of the first game. Looks like it's possibly another failed exclusive in all honesty.
CatInABox wrote: » I don't think it was extended, I think metacritic just assumed a date, and was a little off. No other outfit has said it's changed. So long as the reviews are out before the game itself, then it's fair enough in my opinion, it's the ones that delay it until post launch that I'd worry about.Besides, I don't think that Microsoft actually care too much about the score, they just want it out and done with, so they can move on.

I did see a video on YT with a guy using rubbing alcohol to fix it and from the comments it seems to do the job. anyone any idea where you can get the equivalent to that in Ireland.

CatInABox wrote: » Xbox Live is the online service, which allows you to play games online. It also comes with four free games per month, which you can find out about in the Games with Gold thread. It's usually available for cheaper as well, from places like cdkeys.com, where it's less than €40 for the year. See here. As far as playing online, parental restrictions may stop a child from playing, but I think it'll tell you when he tries to start the game or go online. If you haven't set any up, then that's not the problem. There's also some age restrictions baked into some EA games, we don't know why they do that. If you set up his account with his age too young, then he might not be able to play EA games, and as far as I know, there's no way to change this. It's a really poor policy. You might have to set up a new account to get around it.
wobert wrote: » Can anyone explain Xbox gold vs EA please. I downloaded sea of thieves for my son and then found I need to subscribe to gold in order for game to play which I have for €7 per month. I also got him Star Wars battlefront and his cousin said for multiplayer he needs EA and turn off parental controls? Do I need to pay for EA as well, also unsure about parental control bit. Grateful for any tips
