I have to ask, what in the name of f*ck is the point of concurrent sentencing? He should have the sentence for this new conviction begin the morning after the previous one ends.

It seems to me that most of his and Thompsons' old crews have been either killed, jailed, or else mixed up into the Kinahan-Byrne-Hutch feud in the meantime, it seems unlikely that the local gangland landscape will be anything like it was when he went inside. It always seemed to me that his gang were less organised than Thompson's back in the day to begin with, but with everything that's been happening since then I feel like he's not going to have much of a network left by the time he gets out...

I can see him winning an appeal on the start date of the current sentence and being out pretty quick. The reasoning of the judge that he was only back dating to when Rattigan pleaded guilty is absurd...

In June, 2008, he was linked to a €1 million drug seizure in Dublin. In 2013, he was convicted of directing that drug deal from his prison cell and jailed for 17 years; a sentence backdated to June 2008, when the drugs were found.

These lads know the law inside out! I think he's locked up since 2001/2002 and has served time on being convicted of the murder over Declan Gavin I'd say a good few years (the main reason he's still locked up) even doe the Judge did not take this into account I think by Law he has too.. Sure then he served time for nothing.. This country is so Fcuked up who knows sure Fat freddies son will only do 2 years for the manslaughter of that young lad in oliver bond.. which is absolutely shocking.. Crime does pay in this country..
