What to do with used stamps

Is there any use that used stamps can be put to.

In the past charities used to make money from them.

I'm not aware that this is still possible.

What can you do with used postage stamps?

Lots of Religious groups still collect them and make money from them. Many parish churches have boxes for them.

That reminds me I have a bag of used stamps saved up. A shop in town used to take them but not any more. One of the churches definitely does though so I'd say that is your best bet.

Cut or tear it with about a quarter inch of envelope edging the stamp.

Stamps that are marked as used by a franking print across them. You're confusing that with franking machine prints.

For many people an Irish stamp, particularly the commemoratives would be worth having. Doesn't have to be super rare. many collectors are completists.

Go round asking people would they like a stamp. If they say yes, then stamp on their foot.
