It's just my opinion but if your old enough to drink, have a family, live by yourself,etc. You should know the basic steps about preparing the house before you go to bed. Without a lesson.
Now I get anybody can make a mistake but it's not anybody else fault if your deemed to be an independent living adult.

Yes indeed it could have been avoided

First case don't feud with another family. Result = not having to move away

Second don't park so many caravans that near to each other

Thirdly don't get smashed and drugged up then operate a chip pan

Fourth and this is a lesson for the council apply the trespass laws at all times. Get onto the gardai as soon as any famalies hitch up somewhere they shouldn't be

Don't allow them to stay in temporary accommodation ever

There is such a thing as personal responsibility. The Council can't be responsible for everything.

Padded room will be the safest and cheapest option.....

They will require a fire appliance, ambulance and medical air ambulance at all times at each site.

Even if they were in an igloo they would probably find a way of setting it on fire.

A padded room seems to be the only logical answer as anything else seems to cause harm to a traveller and it's everyone else's fault no matter what....

I was half asleep listening to Morning Ireland today, but even so couldn't help but note the difference between the interview with the traveller spokesman and the minister for agriculture (Creed?) who got asked again, and again, and again, and again, and AGAIN what about a no-deal Brexit.

I agree with the poster above that there has been a tragedy, and a certain sensitivity should be observed, but the spokesman should be asked the questions. But (from what I remember) he was given free reign to ramble on and on, and dissemble, and not address the issue of personal responsibility in any way.

Especially given the verdict of misadventure in all deaths, this is a big question.
