Jennifer was out here three times last general election. PBP lady would get short shrift. I know a candidate from one of the two main parties didn't bother going to a council estate as he thought the residents wouldn't be his demographic. You can't assume everyone in one area is of one mind.

The PBP Carlow & Kilkenny LE 19 Candidate Launch is on tonight in Seven Oaks @ 7:30pm; me thinks Richard Boyd Barrett who was on KCLR Live this morning in Part One/First Hour and who also was at an IT Carlow SU "Meet the Politicians" event @ 1pm Lunchtime today will be somewhat underwhelmed by attendance; the smallest of the upstairs function rooms (Rossmore suite) is being used. They shout a lot, make some noise and throw their weight around @ various protests on & off line but they don't gain traction at the polling booths, in the polls etc. Would love to know their membership numbers locally and nationally but the viewing figures for Wallaces live stream launch as I mentioned in 4043 were fairly embarrassing; is this a sign of how she's perceived locally, regionally and nationally?

Wouldent agree with alot of what PBP are shovelling but one thing i do agree with them on is all the posters around town on derelict houses saying people need to live here. Carlow town needs more people living in it but they wouldent because the town is overrun with traffic.. the air quality in town is terrible
Tullow has been riddled with neglectful politicians, the town and surrounding areas have been forgotten about as parish pump politics trumps. I think we need to all rise together and fight for an honest politics that deliver.
Noun. parish pump politics (uncountable) (Ireland, derogatory, informal) political activity that is more evidently concerned with addressing the immediate needs of the local electorate than with strategy that might affect the national interest.

Her solution to the housing crisis was to take houses off landlords and give them to the homeless. How she expected the landlords to hand over the keys without issue was never answered as she kept repeating the same nonsense when pressed by Vincent. She repeats mindless PBP slogans about the wealthy and how its unfair for the average person, honestly she seems like someone who genuinely thinks every middle class or above person has scammed the system somehow and are walking around with 1000s in their pockets rather than having worked hard to get where they are. Our local politicians are of such a low level in general its hard to believe someone could stand out as being even more clueless and yet she managed it. If she gets more than double figures in votes i'll be shocked.

Brevity isn't her strong point; it's more about word count and quantity rather than quality of query. Meeting went on but without her presence it'd've been over at least half hour earlier. Any opportunity to speak or ask questions or congratulate somebody on something she took it no matter what relevance it had. Makes me wonder when speaking times for politicians are totted up annually; the higher the better in theory but in hers absolutely not.

A Wallace was actually very good during the 8th Amendment and I have to hand it to her- fearless in her campaigning and did a lot of canvassing around Carlow/KK * I'm in no way connected to her, just my own observations. I think she'll stir things up in Carlow CoCo which would be no harm at all.

Richard Boyd-Barrett is coming to town next Wednesday to officially launch her campaign; I believe they've booked the broom cupboard for this purpose because no extra space will be reqd.
