Folks what do you drink when out on the gargle?

Can’t stand lads who drink all these fancy drinks where the barman spends 5 minutes making it, shaking stuff and cutting up fruit, and then looks for 7 quid plus.

Can’t beat a few pints of porter

It's all about mixing it up. Pint after pint would put me to sleep, much as I like Guinness and Lager. Nice to break the monotony with a G&T, a cocktail or even a vodka and redbull if I'm feeling tired.

10 to 12 pints of porter. I like some of those pale ales as well, but they leave me with an arse like the brake light of a Massey Ferguson the next morning.

Used to drink Guinness when I could get a decent pint, but a decent pint is so hard to find these days that it’s just not worth it, so I drink Jack Daniels and coke, goes down grand.

On a full on barn-burner, 6-8 guinness followed by whiskies over ice, or 6-8 lagers followed by vodkas and white lemonade. Never shots. Those combos work well for me in terms of tolerances and recovery.

Wine, gin, port, brandy, grand marnier, amaretto etc, only consumed around a meal.

On a proper session..pints of blue moon or tiger and a few shots. Usually get out for a a cheeky bushing session at some stage during the events ..for that, the drink of choice would be le buckfast.. preferably chilled.

Depends on what's on offer in the pub. If the Guinness is good I'd go for that. I like a citrusy ale like a pale ale but not the really heavy ones. Peroni if I'm drinking lager.

The UK has great ciders. The flat ciders and scrumpys can be great. I thought I didnt like cider because I do t like Bulmers. But a mate from Cornwall introduces me to a few nice ciders. Strong buggers though. Commonly 6-7.5%. So you'd want to pace yourself if you're out for a long session.

Love Brewdog beers but I dont tend to like the pubs.

I love those ciders in southwest England, few really lovely ones around Wales too. Completely different to what we get here.

It's a pity too because presumably bulmers could make a nice scrumpy like the English and Welsh do. I really don't like bulmers and similar ciders so there's no cider for me in Ireland really.
