St Stephen green closing at 3:30 pm

The officer just closed it at 3:30 pm, or as he called it, the "eveining."

Off to the pubs then? What other options are there that the govenment and city have provided? There is hardly a bench elsewhere in the city.

"If you don't want to go to the pubs, then just go home." Sure, let me spend all day in my moldy damp apartment, abused by the landlord.

Dublin is just such a dark, hopeless city. And it shouldnt be. It shouldnt have to be at all.

There's seats in the shopping centre thay shares the name of park and is only across the road.

Go to a museum or a cafe, go for a walk? Parks are closed once it starts getting dark, and during the winter that just happens to be quite early in the day.

You mean the playground and not the park don’t ya? I was in it yesterday and today and the park ranger/warden closes the playground at 3.30pm. It is sign posted.

Still a bit early though.

Dublin can be expensive for sure, but you need to look in the right places :-)
Have you ever been to the Science Gallery on Pearse St? Cool exhibitions that are totally free and something to do. There's so many free events throughout the city to enjoy. It's getting dark at 4:30, so it makes sense that the parks are closing earlier. These people have lives too.
