Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This is too easy for Leinster. Getting beyond the gain line almost every carry.

Ulster backs are just way too small and getting smashed.

Jaysus. Liam Toland is just awful.

Ugh, Lowry could be in trouble here. Daly's hip right into his temple unexpectedly too.

Good penalty win by McBurney who then scores. Very impressive start by him

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,447 ✭✭✭launish116

McBurney just knows how to score of a maul!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,206 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

Ball was stopped well before the line. Ulster shouldn't be scoring from there.

Great set from Ulster off that lineout, and well worked from McBurney alright.

Hmm...that Lowry/Daly incident is kind of interesting in terms of where it lands in the broader discussion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,808 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Ah feck me...that is woeful defending

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,206 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    That's piss poor from Ulster.

    Tackling optional.

Why wasnt he given a yellow for hitting Daly in the air ?

Letter of the law says that if Daly lands on his head there, Lowry gets red.

(shows how bad an outcome-based law is)

    You can say that again.

    That was utterly horrendous defending.

Kernohan had a howler for that try.

    Handed off so easily.

O'Brien did great, but it didn't have to be that great. Can see this being 50-19 or so

Good try but where was the ulster defense

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,721 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

This must be giving Awec severe flashbacks

Great kick off from Frawley and gather from Kearney which was the making of that try in fairness.

But he didn't hit him in the air. In fact he didn't really do anything. Daly jumped into him and kneed him in the head..

Instead what we have is Lowry gone off with an injury cause Daly flew into him.

Two week suspension if that happens to you, which is a bit harsh on Lowry, but I suppose the sanctions have to be consistent. Of Daly had fallen slightly differently, he could have broken his neck.

Not sure why the ref didnt look at that tackle. Seemed to go above horizontal

Why are kicking for points? We aren't going to win this. Go to the corner and try and get 4 tries.

On a positive for us McBurnery and Jones have done well so far. Defensively we are so passive though. Leinster have all the time in the world with the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,808 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Right stick it in the corner

HIA failed for Lowry so staying off.

Would love to see that Porter pen called more often.

Good refereeing. If more people got penalised for acting the dick then we'd all be better off.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,149 ✭✭✭mangobob

What was that penalty for? I couldnt see what the Ulster player did wrong there

  • Registered Users Posts: 589 ✭✭✭baas baa

Like how Porter is adding a turnover threat to his game, will be very useful to have coming off the bench in the 6N when teams are a bit slower to rucks late in games.

Conor. O Brien really marshalling the drift well there. That's breeds confidence in players outside you
