What's the craic (pun intended) with anal sex?

Morning folks,

As this is AH, I'm expecting a plethora of vulgar answers but I'm genuinely wondering, what's the story with men and anal sex? Every guy I've been with over the last few years has asked for it. I can't think of a single guy who hasn't asked me if I'm up for it. Nothing at all wrong with that, I have done it in the right circumstances when the mood has taken over but I definitely don't enjoy it. I'm just wondering why men like it so much. I think the.. for want of a better word, normal way, is much nicer. Is it because its a bit taboo (or is it even?), is it because it shows the girl has a dirty side? Also.. And this hugely worries me, are you put off by a girl who does it? Do you judge her in some maybe even subconscious way?

I presume a good shower first, trust relaxation and lube. Condoms depending.

It depends where you are. In the UK/Ireland it used to be rhyming slang for 'legging it' - running away. It seems that more and more people are used to the US meaning - riding a man with a strap on. I could imagine a sentence like : "I was absolutely pegging it down the street!" causing some confusion....

Strangely enough another one that doesn't translate well with the colonials is Bugger. Here it's a mild expletives... there rather more serious.

Took a day to think if I should post anything on this thread.
- First observation is: if this is genuinely questioning what's the story with men and anal - then OP could have used other forums for less vulgar answers: The Gentlemen's Club or Anthropology, Sociology & Culture are few examples.

Then, without going TMI as some of the partners I've discussed about my sexual preferences are lurking on AH - I think there is nothing wrong with discussing about anal, when done in the right time. IMO every healthy couple should discuss about everything sex related. And when good timing, no matter of the answer, there would be no consequences for none of the ppl involved in a couple.

Note that I say discussing about and not asking for it. How OP is saying "every guy ... has asked for it." may suggest something about the status of the relationships. Do wonder where these men were found

... I am sure nothing I need to be concerned about anyway.

PS: if I were to give smile points to someone who posted here, have to say highest score goes to one of my fav posters in AH - who's mentioning "husband with his lovely willy and regular taste"
