Agree, theres a few others I'd kick out the door before him.
And on Greg, enjoyed his morning show. Rarely get to listen to him now.

Yeah, change was needed I suppose. I personally the night slot suits Greg's presenting style better, though.

Between Creedon on RTE 1, John Kelly on Lyric, and Paul McLoone on Today FM, he's up against quite a lot in terms of listeners!

I think his music choices are ok, but I can't stand him as a "personality". I literally can't listen to him say "Pat-Nav" one more time :pac: which is a shame, as the music alternatives on the radio at that time are pretty poor.

Interesting, it certainly says 'Head of Music' on his LinkedIn profile. One would assume that 'Head of Music' means that he dictates the music policy and ultimately decides what gets green lit for broadcast (at least on the prime time slots). But doesn't the role I've just described fall under the remit of Nova's dear leader, director of programming, Mr. Colm Hayes? I stand to be corrected, but I don't think Gaughran has that level of authority, because I believe we'd have a decent station if he was calling the shots.

Clarke's playlist is meant to be different than the usual Nova playlist. It is really very similar to the playlist he had on his 2FM jukebox show.

Was listening to Lisa Gernon on Saturday morning - and the difference between her and Ruth Scott is like day and night.

Refreshing to listen to a Nova presenter who is actually a rock music fan - they're few and far between on Nova.

Playing a relatively obscure Christmas song like "Baby It's Cold Outside" I took as a deliberate two fingers to the whines about it. Clarke has a bit of history of nice little jibes like that.
