Christmas Trees

I've had an artificial tree for.... , well forever but have been persuaded to go for a real one this year. Trouble is I have no idea!, can anybody point me in the direction of where to get one, how much should I pay?, do I get a stand / bucket?! How long will it stay green?, any other tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I've used http://www.cloneesawmills.ie for the last two years.

I also have a stand that allows me to put water into it. Just prolongs the tree for a bit longer. Places like woodies do them.

Similar to the prices Murray mentioned.. They are graded and most are standing so you get to see them before they pack it up for you.

Justin's in blanch village do them as well. 50e each and quality has been good the last few years I've gotten them there.

Agree as well about getting the stand with water and to keep topping it up with water. Makes a big difference.

IKEA Christmas trees are excllent.

Correct, you buy a tree at 30 euro price and getting back 20 euro voucher.

Today bought one. Excellent value. Best Christmas trees in Dublin.

By the way, they are selling huge amounts of them every day.

Real trees are so much nicer - love the smell. They last a good few weeks easily, just need to have a stand with water as they are thirsty buggers (going to need to 'top up' the water too).

I had a bad experience with my IKEA tree a couple of years ago.

They’re quite small too - max 6ft (or were back then)

A lot of fruit and veg shops seem to do them. I know the one in Laurel Lodge shopping centre had them a few days ago. Haven’t been up since to see if still around.

Got mine in Laurel Lodge, nice big tree. Fruit and Veg lads running it.

Got an Ikea one last year, pretty poor quality but can't argue with the price.

Better trees available pretty much everywhere
