You couldn't make the claim that Young and Valencia are lazy but poor yes, yet picked regularly. Winters also doesn't mention the rigid style, lack of attacking and overall poverty of positive work ethic like planned pressing that would put us on the front foot, instead of us sitting back and making poor teams look like great passing sides. Winters speaks confidently but its a poor analysis of the situation. There are things like benching Fred for others in poor form and playing McTominay in defense that he never mentions that are 100% Jose's managerial decisions and nothing to do with the board.

Paul Pogba complained to Josourinho that his tactics restrict the movement of the side during an exchange with the Manchester United manager after their 2-2 draw with Southampton on Saturday. Mourinho claimed in an interview with RedeTV, the Brazilian broadcaster, that it would be “almost a miracle” if United finished in the top four this season thanks to their woeful start. They are eight points adrift of the Champions League places after the draw on the south coast. More details have emerged of what happened in the away dressing room on Saturday night. It is understood that Mourinho criticised Pogba, the France midfielder, in front of his team-mates, telling the £89 million signing that he was disrespecting the United shirt by playing so poorly and giving the ball away so often. Pogba is thought to have responded to Mourinho by complaining that he had no one to pass to because his manager’s tactics do not allow players to move around freely in front of him. The midfielder’s riposte is said to have been delivered in a calm manner and the exchange did not get heated, according to sources. The 25-year-old was not the only one to receive a dressing-down after the draw, which leaves United in seventh place, 16 points shy of Manchester City, the league leaders. Mourinho is also understood to have castigated other players in the dressing room. After the game at St Mary’s, Mourinho opened up about the frustration he feels at his team being so far off the pace. If you think that's good management then all I can say is I hope to god you never become a manager. Also this I have no problem with Pogba question the manger calmly like this when the tactics are so rigid and what he says about lack of movement is absolutely true, its by design. If Pogba had gone to the press then thats out of form but this is supposedly a dressing room "leak".

How is that progressive or calm ? He looked for a public spat with the manager and when Jose finally responded (he shouldn't have) some people ignored what Pogba had been doing and jumped to "aha, see Jose is a bad manager". In terms of character, Jose is correct. The amount of times people agree wit what Jose says and then turn it against him in a "you cant say that" is quite remarkable. Feeds into the weak snowflake feel of this squad. A lot of the united squad has shown a lack of character long before Jose joined so why are people upset with Jose shaking things up?. I don't agree in him making it public but that's what he has always done and its worked for him so what the f**k do I or anybody hear know?. People constantly focusing on it and saying we don't like it doesn't make him a bad manager , its just means we don't approve of his techniques. Jose doesn't make it easy for players, hes a hard manager to work for but if players respond they come out better for it. That's why Hazzard said hes the best coach and why Deshamps said to to Pogba that Jose will make him a better player . . As unpopular as this is, I would be happy to see the back of Pogba in January. Sends a massive signal to the squad that any challenge to a manager wont be tolerated. Whether we get a new manager or not, hes a player who wont perform when, to use his own words, hes not happy. He has not been good enough for united on or off field to have the authority to challenge the manager.
