2017 Nvidia Shield

Not much of a discount at £20 (Was £189.99, now £169.99) but it's the first time I've seen the new model reduced.

Anyone know if currys.ie are going to match the price that their UK counterparts are selling this at? Have seen it on Hotukdeals at the amazon price in currys.co.uk but wondering if they'll do it here as well.

It’s the same price I’ve nvidia website and amazon now

Android TV isn't that customisable. It's not locked down but you can side load apps that are not in the play store. There are no restrictions

This is a different type of console, you can't really compare it to Xbox or PlayStation. It plays Android games, runs lots of emulators and streams pc games both from your pc if you have a Nvidia graphics card (Gamestream) or using Steam and Uplay running on a Nvidia virtual machine (GeforceNow).

Google for a few reviews and videos

I got the getflix deal before, but iirc I can do nothing with it, with regards having a virgin hub

Must have another go at it tonight, but from memory, I think it had to be changed from within the hub, though it's so long ago, I'm not entirely sure.

I got caught by the stack social lifetime deal earlier in the year, so maybe that's where I'm being mixed up on.

Ya you can change it on the shield, just note down the details and then change it to static and change the DNS
