The van may have been in the wrong lane - but so were you ! You should have merged in behind him. You can't just change lanes when there is someone in the lane beside you.

The van should not have joined the roundabout is the key point. The OP was in the correct lane turning right, although once the van has made his decision to pull out, the OP has to give way..

A truck done this to me on Friday on the same roundabout. I must download the Dashcam video.

Dash Cams are so essential these days, all the hit and runs, false accusations, recent spawn of dangerous little teenage gang fckers roaming the streets causing chaos. I feel naked without it my cam, it stays on or I don't drive. Dash cameras should be made mandatory.
