So irish rail summary:

New earlier 05.58hrs Maynooth to Connolly
Six additional off-peak services each way daily Dublin Connolly to Maynooth (Mon to Fri) delivering half-hourly off-peak service during the day and up to 21.00hrs

13 additional off-peak services each way on Saturday Dublin Connolly to Maynooth delivering half-hourly service from 08.00hrs to 19.00hrs approx.

11 additional off-peak services each way on Sunday Dublin Connolly to Maynooth delivering:
Earlier first service from Maynooth at 08.00hrs
Half-hourly service on Sundays from 11.00hrs to 19.00hrs approx
Services extended to 23.00hrs approx. on Sunday evenings
M3 Parkway hourly service extended on Sunday evenings to provide connections at Clonsilla to and from later Maynooth services.

Alteration to running time of 17.17hrs Connolly to Longford between Mullingar and Longford

Finally a late train on Sunday evenings!!

Nice, finally an early train. I cycle in from Clonsilla since the first train not getting to Connolly until after 07:00 was pathetic. Will likely continue to cycle but the early train will now be an option

Thanks for the info OP. Seems like a great improvement and not before time. Finally a reasonable off peak service although the last train from tara street is still quite early during the week.

It also means you can connect better with the Luas from Broombridge if there are only half hour gaps off peak!

Great that there are more services but I would have thought that there was a huge need for increased trains at peak times. The trains around five can be incrediblely busy

The majority are 8; the few 4s are generally running very close after or before an 8.

There is NO additional 29000 stock to be magicked up to enhance peak. What we have is what we're getting until 2022 probably. The extra services, particularly the early, may encourage some people who currently drive due to poor or no trains at their non-standard working hours to move to rail but there is no capacity at peak.

Great news that there are extra trains, especially over the weekends.
Hopefully they can sort the issues they are having with rush hour trains.

My regular train was 15 mains late last week; but managed to get us to Blackrock only 4 mins later than normal!
Which just goes to show how inefficiently slow it normally is.
At rush hour it should be moving quick but the bottle necks in town are just crazy.

There is - but the lines are at capacity, especially at Connolly.

More trains also means more/longer closures of the level crossings at Ashtown, Coolmine and Clonsilla.
