If you whack up the price of something, it suddenly becomes a much wanted brand. It's a strange aul world. The likes of Ellesse and FILA were bottom of the market brands a few years ago. FILA have a runner out that costs around €100. I remember having the same variant of that runner that costed €30 about 15 years ago. And price inflation hasn't really hit the run market too much over the years.

I also remember when you could get Asics runners for €15-30, when your usually Nikes were between €60-€120. Asics took back off about 100 years ago

Asics are decent quality though. Nike fall apart almost exactly after eighteen months.

Chances are that they’re knock-offs as I can’t see scumbags and skangers spending their hard earned dole on the genuine item although there’s also the possibility that they stole them.
