This is one of the most active forums on Boards.ie. As a result, discussion can get quite heated. But there are certain things posters must realise are simply not OK to post:

Breaffy should still have had a free in at minimum at the death.

I wouldn't go to war over the point but I will stick by it. The angle I'm coming from is that I thought Ballintubber played much better as a team and yet there was only a point in it. I think if Breaffy played with the same cohesion, then they would have knicked it.

But they probably don't play with such cohesion due to the individuals... as I said, I wouldn't go to war

Hey folks, just wondering would it be difficult to get tickets for the New York game without a season ticket? I know Gaelic Park is small and demand will probably be high.

I don't think the season ticket has anything to do with the game in New York? It definitely doesn't in London so I assume its the same over there.

It was near side and wide - straight wide, criminal really. If you're going to miss, miss well... short or the far side. They could have orchestrated a short one and gotten a free from a better angle if cuter. Himself and O'Reilly were both standing over it.

TG4 have great footage of the last minute apparent foul on the Breaffy player. No. 3 falls over, I think a free there would have been harsh. He proceeded then to toe poke the ball forward to a Ballintubber player, Vinny made the right call in my book

Official GAA have the 2 min highlights of the game on Facebook. I agree there was no foul on Breaffy number 3, he slipped, toe poked the ball but the ballintubber number 5 picked it clean off the ground inside the big square, should have been a free on the 13m line in my opinion, tough for the ref to see through the crowd

Having a good coverage of home games now this year will be a good thing for people heading for the 60%.
I have the club+, got to 4 games so possibly didn't utilize it enough.

The master fixtures list is usually published around the beginning of November.

Is there much sense in needing to trial Colm Boyle,Donal Vaughan,Aidan O Shea,Brendan Harrison,Keith Higgins,Paddy Durcan,Andy Moran,David Clarke?

You'd have to wonder if Aiden O'Se had a bad trial, would he be dropped? I don't think so. However, those lads might be there as a way to judge lads coming in, i.e. See how they cope against the likes of o'se as that's the standard they will be up against at IC level

To see how the actual lads on trial fare against thkthe I guess
Let’s the bee backroom team get to know them
Probably helps build a bit more squad spirit too

It’s great to see this happen so early . We have a might run at the year next year ........

Yes I'm guessing he was looking to select six fairly evenly matched teams to facilitate proper competitive games. And it would be more difficult to balance if it was all newbies or fringe players...

The big names are probably just lads still based around Mayo and who are free on the day to give a bit of balance to the trials, and - as others have said - provide a standard to measure others against. They're not actually on trial themselves

Kevin McLoughlins stag was on I think so that would have taken a nice few away. Lee Keegan was on about it in some interview that he was disappointed to be missing the trials.

The Queens of appeal are at it again.
Carnacons Fiona McHale and Doreann Hughes both got reds in the semi final vs Moy Davitts.
McHale for an elbow into the face of a Moy Davitts player and Hughes for swearing at an official.
Both received the minimum 1 month ban by Mayo co.board.
Hughes isn't contesting the suspension but McHale is and made an appeal to the Co. Board on Friday which was turned down.
She's now going to Connacht LGFA to have her suspension overturned in time for Saturdays Connacht Final.
