I take issue with the myth that urban voters are more discerning than rural voters, which is what I believe is being implied. There are very large populations of Irish people living in our cities who are very insular, you only need to look at both the wealthy areas and deprived areas to witness that insularity, there is a fairly large percentage of voters living in rural Ireland who are much more urban than those who like to think themselves as an urban voter!
