Can anyone recommend someone in Waterford City I can bring my car to? Every time I get in to my car it says one of my headlights are gone, but when I turn them on the bulb comes on after about 20 seconds, except last night when it didn't come on at all. Presume its a faulty connection or something as I have changed the bulb twice over the last 2 months?

The only place I can think of in the city is the Audi garage but I don't know what kinda price they'd charge - and it's only a 2008 Audi so any indy mechanic would do!

Need to vent a bit...

I'm getting so sick and tired of drivers.. This morning I wanted to overtake someone and the person didnt move.. especially because there was enough space to move to the left (it's like 1,5 lane).

So i turned my big light on and the person still didnt move.

At the runabout the person decided to drive in the MIDDLE of two lanes so I honked and since he had to go the same way he decided to drive 30kmh where it's 60 and then speed up again.

I'm not saying that we in the UK are the best drivers but i am thinking that maybe i should have a brick in the car by default to throw at people.

Some extra info:

During the day (especially lorries, cars etc) just move to the left from the yellow line for people to overtake. This happens all the time and Im driving there 10 times a week. So now and then you have idiots who don't care and stay in the middle or go even to the middle line so you can't overtake.

I did try to overtake him at the right as you should.. I expected him to move a bit to the left but instead he went to the middle line so i couldn't overtake.

Not just once but a few times he was driving left and when He sees me trying to overtake he went towards the middle line instead.

Well that I could understand but going towards the middle line when you see someone wants to overtake you isn't really the nicest way to do it.

Am I missing something but isn't there a continuous white line there? so no overtaking on that stretch.

The other driver is not obliged to move to the hard shoulder to allow you to pass on your side of the road without crossing the white line.

Beeping at the other driver and flashing the lights in an effort to try and force them to pull to the left is aggressive and unnecessary.

Best to leave early and plan for things like this and be calm and courteous to other road users.

Also if someone behind me flashes and beeps at me to moveover when it's not a reasonable request or safe to do so i tend to drive half the speed limit and then ... see above comment reference shoe in.. (minus the smoke of course)

On the way to work this morning, plenty of traffic on national road so no point in passing. Fella behind me in a fresh VRs Octavia passes me anyway, and the few cars in front. Few k up the road there's an accident that can be seen from a few kms back with the blue lights from all the emergency services on scene. On sight of these, your man pulls in to the hard shoulder, and when I pass him he is doing a U-turn. The back road he would have to take would have probably added 25 mins on his journey. So much for the overtaking, wonder did he just have an out of date disc or what was up with him. Maybe there was a body in the boot.

You're driving like an ass if you're flashing people and expecting them to get out of your way, esp when they are doing nothing wrong. Not everyone drives at the speed limit all the time. When I see behaviour like this I think about road users that might be more nervous driving. Do you have someone close to you that isn't a confident driver, especially on dark Irish mornings? Would you like other drivers to sit on their rear bumper with the full beam on? Wise up and take your time, or leave earlier than 05:00 if you need to.

I was looking into changing my background on my gauge and I'm not sure what theme I would like.

I'm not the best person in Photoshop but anyone some suggestions, not just the theme but more the combination between the background and the foreground.
