As discussed previously I used Amazon.es to buy, as wanted to ensure to get EU version with the extra tires, and also for customer service and 2 year warranty. Otherwise, people have used Aliexpress, Gearbest and Lightinthebox to buy. Some sellers quote 2-3 months for delivery from China, so ensure you know where it is coming from before ordering.

You shouldn't need to use parcel motel as I understand GearBest deliver direct to Ireland. Though will take about 4-6 weeks for delivery.

I second that! Got mine last week from Amazon.es for 380 euro + 20 euro shipping to my address pal in the UK. It arrived in a massive box so be warned, its heavy and probably not a great idea to get it shipped to work :eek:

I have only used to today for the first time while commuting and I have to admit, its brilliant! I came from Heuston to Dublin 2 (Grand Canal) in around 15-18mins. Straight up the quays in the cycle lanes. Not sure what the story is with using them tho.....I’ve read that as they are motor assisted vehicles they are the same as the motorised bikes and therefore ok? Does anyone know what the story is?

Ah im in Grand Canal myself so may pass by each other some mornings. I actually did get it delivered to work, as the security staff were more interested on having a go than worrying about its weight

I believe that there has been quite bit of discussion on where they lie on this thread, however i understand they are considered Motor Propelled Vehicles (MPV) that they would fall under strict guidelines around insurance etc. They differ from electric bikes as once moving the scooter requires no manual input to keep going. Electric bikes only assist and the individual must continue to pedal. However I have gone past many Gardai and have yet to have even a second look. I use my best judgement and stay to roads and cycle paths as much as possible. I think that unless you are flying down pavements and endangering people, they wont bother you.

They won't bother you unless you crash. Then its a very serious conviction for driving without any appropriate paperwork.

Ordered mine from Gearbest during a sale and it had free 7 business day shipping. Came early so happy days!

Really happy with it (even though it's the white version). Quicker than the car to some places nearby and folds nicely for the train part of the commute.

Zero regrets! Makes the morning commute way more fun.

Shame to see the scalpers all over this category on Adverts, charging €150+ more than the RRP. Really hope Ireland gets an official supplier soon as it's already convinced a few colleagues to get one.

Yes It does, I was a bit apprehensive myself because of the whole shipping of batteries but mine was received on a Monday evening in the UK and I had it by 7am the Thursday. Not too bad €12.99 too

I am wondering the same question

The ES2 has an option for additional battery which could be useful but it is very expensive

The big draw back with the ES2 is that it has hard wheels....so it would be bouncy on our roads

Both are made in reality by the same people so they are fairly similar....

The ES2 has the battery option which the m365 doesnt

The European Black version which contained the scooter, 2 pin plug and extra wheels/tyres. It cost €380 + €20 delivery to Address Pal in the Uk then another €12.99 from Address Pal to Ireland.

I would highly recommend the Xiaomi M365 if you want to use it on cycle lanes/roads as the larger wheel size and tubed tyres make it a smoother ride.
