Seems to be delays in getting landing planes into terminal due to delays in departing. Only going to get worse

Yeah heard it in Churchtown and immediately assumed it was the An12 due to how much louder it was compared to usual aircraft. Flightradar24 quickly comfirmed!

Waiting now in Amsterdam for the return flight of fr3006. That one didn't depart Dublin yet, while the flight to Dublin should leave Amsterdam in about 45 minutes. Will be one of those days I guess.

There was a flight by the A380 under the Reunion callsign yesterday from Reunion to CDG and back. REU979 landed at CDG at 11am local and departed CDG as REU978 at 17:45 local.

Heard them again last night heading south, kinda amazed that there is enough traffic to Reunion to support a daily A380.

Just don’t understand why an A320 from ACE to ORK would be more restricted than say the A321 that flew directly to Dublin around the same time, or all the other aircraft flying from ACE this evening to the UK and Ireland. Ryanair flew without a tech stop from ACE-ORK this evening, Jet2 flew a longer flight up to Belfast, again no tech stop. And there was a few ACE-DUB too, no tech stop.
Would EI be carrying a huge amount of cargo on ACE-ORK that makes them heavier and more restricted than everyone else ?
I do understand that weather and weight dependant aircraft have restrictions but just find it odd this particular flight is affected and not any others doing the same route or even longer

ACE has a short runway, so the wind can restrict take off length for a A321 at max weight, so if the flight was full (pax/bags/cargo) they take less fuel to optimise the take off performance and do a tech stop for fuel on the way, happens especially in winter months and FAO is usually their airport of choice
