Remember how hardball worked out for Davy in Clare. They'd just won an all ireland too, and didn't win a championship match for 3 years (excluding qualifiers) and didn't play in croker again until this year. You lads can simplify it as much as you want but any half decent manager would try to start the ball rolling with at least an attempt at unity with the outgoing panel.
