Thought I'd update the OP with links and stuff for anyone who stumbles across this.

The former Off the Ball hosts have partnered with The Irish Times to do a series of weekly podcasts. They go online each Tuesday and cover a variety of sports, with a number of contributors including Sid Lowe, Richie Sadlier, Gerry Thornley and Shane Horgan.

A few weeks ago they did a football show when there was no football on and had no mention of the big GAA matches on that weekend, after next Monday's Final review there will be very little GAA for the next six months so ye can relax after that.

Also Rochford leaving Mayo is big news, they'd hardly ignore a big juicy story like that.

Didn't argue with that... just that the motivation for them could hardly be explained by the lads being Dubs

To be honest my hypothesis about them mainly being Dublin fans wasn't exactly a staunch opinion, it was a fleeting thought more than anything.

The more I think of it, my suspicion is perhaps that they pander to the numbers - the gaelic football pods may draw in more listeners as more listeners are based in Dublin as opposed to us boggers in munster!

Ken doesn't cover celebrity boxing every week. He has had countless podcasts about mourinho. He makes good points but the points have been done to death.

Yeah I agree... he can be repetitive at times with Muriniho, it was good having Neville stikung it up to him.... ken is a Liverpool supporter right ?

The sooner the better Ken is back. Can't take all these GAA pods. Haven't even downloaded the pods in the last couple of days due to them being GAA heavy.

I don't know what it is but i hate the GAA podcasts. I have no major interest in GAA but neither do i have interest in Ice Hockey and other sports talked about on second captains but i always skip GAA for some reason and listen to the rest.

That's my point though i listen to all other sports and enjoy them all (including Rugby) but GAA just annoys me. Anyway must be my own bias

It is. Because I'm personally biased in the same way against rugby. They'll never please everyone all the time.

That said, between all the upcoming rugby and the piles of English soccer I won't listen to, I'll still stay subscribed as it's cheap enough to be worth it.

My card expired so I had to resubscribe on Patreon. But the link the SC members page gives me to copy to PocketCasts is only for the April 26th show. It's supposed to give you access to all previous episodes but I only see the one. Has anyone else had this experience?

Nah it's more people complaining about too much GAA coverage on All Ireland week that I find strange, if you look through the thread I've been critical of the lads at times too.

You're wasting 5 euro a month on a podcast you clearly despise, I would say that's stranger than any "fanboy" stuff I come out with.

Whats strange about pointing out that 4 gaelic football pods in a row is odd in comparison to the equivalent hurling final coverage ?

I thought the Ken/Eoin duo had a better interview with Alan Smith than a lot of Richies player chair interviews.
