It would be laca up top and auba wide like arsenal did last season and like emery did sometimes in preseason if he decides to have both of them on the pitch at the same time. I don't see laca ever starting ahead of auba. I do think there is a chance they could both start though with auba wide.

That's the one that got him success in Sevilla FC (3 consecutive EL) with Vitolo-Rakitic/Banega-Reyes/Coke supporting Bacca/Gameiro ; and that's the one he wanted to implement to PSG in order to shake the "purring" Laurent Blanc 4-3-3. Unfortunately it's the star players (Ibra, Thiago Silva, Thiago Motta, Verratti, Neymar now, etc...) who are in charge at PSG (with Nacer El Khelaifi "benediction") and Emery "had to" go back to PSG traditional 4-3-3 with Di Maria/Neymar-Cavani-Draxler/Mbappé upfront. I'd be surprised if he switches to a 2 strikers formation. I don't think Lacazette will start many games ahead of PEA. So for the Frenchman, it's a midfield spot on a wing that has to give way for PEA to allow him to play upfront (I don't see him playing wide, he can play 2 at the front as he did with Fekir in Lyon but wide... in theory he could since he has pace and technical skills but I don't remember a game (for Lyon, Arsenal or Les Bleus) where he did... In fairness, and there were talks about it this summer in France, Emery's arrival at Arsenal is not an a priori great news for Lacazette. He already missed the World Cup and to claim back a spot in the French team he'd need to be a regular starter in a good club and score, score and score. Currently, we only see him as PEA "luxury" sub.

They have zero points after 2 games. I don’t see anything other than what he thinks his first 11 are and I don’t think that currently involves Lacazette. I 100% don’t see Lacazette starting. I thin it’s Aubameyang, Mkhi, Ozil and then either Iwobi or Ramsey and I’d be leaning towards Iwobi. Hope that makes sense.

The run of games now are a bit easier and more likely to start with both laca and auba. They have lost both games so a change is more likely. Granted its a new manager so we have no data to suggest what he generally does in this situation. He played laca up front and auba wide in preseason so it must be somewhat under consideration. They both tend to have a good record when playing together. I would be thinking its a 50/50 call on whether laca starts. In fairness auba still scored well playing off the left last year.

Anyone who has WC'd and already has him will hopefully oblige and transfer him out temporarily. I assume me transfering him in and out won't help with the drop as the net effect is neutral?
Iused2likebusts wrote: » Yes that's exactly what you should be doing and hoping for.
Pete_Cavan wrote: » This just got me thinking. Hypothetically, using the above mentioned players, if you have WC'd, would it be a good temporary move for an Auba owner to get rid to protect against a potential price drop in the next 48 hrs? Selling also contributes towards the price drop. Could then transfer Auba back in at the same price or perhaps with a profit. Or is there something that prevents you from buying back a player at a lower price in the same GW?
