Reflecting on Cork senior hurling team, clear to see we need new ball winner up front and strong options at 3 and 6. I’m also not convinced Coleman should stay at wing back given the number of puck outs landing on him - is midfield a better options for him?

Hopefully a few of the U-21 team will come through to fill these gaps.

We have good forward options for next year with Cadogan coming back and others coming through. Limerick moved Declan Hannon from attack into half back line, as did Galway with Cooney when required.

Would Harnedy ever be an option worth trying at 6?? Has he always played in the forwards?

What about Colm Spillane - he has a great year this year. Should he have a go in the league at 3 or 6?

why rob Peter to pay Paul. you start saying we need a new ball winner and then look to move our main ball winner out of the forwards? Harnedy just too important as a forward to move him. We do need somebody to ease the burden on him of winning ball, maybe Dalton will get a few league games next year.

Playing well enough in parts but haven't really opened up yet. Tip are really putting it up to us and are tackling hard and not giving Cork much space. This really is our first real game.
I expect Cork to run at them more from out the field and create more chances and pull away to win by 6 or 7 hopefully.

Very happy with the second half performance, in total control despite not scoring a goal.
Took their scores well. Allowed them to puck it short by keeping all the players outside the 45 and simply mopped up the next ball. Orla Cotter with 9 fine points.
Nice to see Corkery come on.

Delighted it's kk in the final, only wanted to play them, should be a cracker especially the way both managers feel about each other.

Great performance by Cork. Tipp took some great scores too and looked like they wanted to bully/stand up to Cork. They had a lot of fouls but maybe they had to in order to put it up to Cork.

Cork will take some stopping in the final.

In other important news, Brian Turnbull came on at halftime tonight for Douglas and got 8 points in their defeat. He got 3 from play. Hopefully he will put in an appearance for the Cork under21s in their final. He is just coming back from a Cruciate injury in case you didn't know.

Whenever you hear one talking about the other you can sense it, a real wanting to beat the other, begrudging respect in one way. When she was saying last year that Gemma O'Connor would definitely start and that it was all smoke and daggers from the Cork management, you could really sesnse what he was doing was getting to her a bit. There is no love lost, that's for sure. I'm sure there will be a few, issues/injuries, arise nearer the final to stoke the fire.
I fully expect another close final between them. It will be as tough as the first half tonight, but for 60 plus minutes, can't wait.

Think the u-21 final may be a little too early for him, but great to see him back and I can see him on the senior panel within 2 or 3 years.

other counties have been doing this since underage. we were way behind everyone else thanks to the shambles our underage setups have been for 15 or 20 years and only now with our u21s are we starting to do it

U21 game next weekend very important for Cork. One they must win. It's been too long for a county like Cork to be waiting for a title.

Clare could say the same. The fact is neither Cork or Clare did enough to get to the final. The final was won by the best team overall in the whole championship so it was the perfect result really.

Cork have every chance next year but we need more direct ball in to the forwards and cut out a lot of this short stuff. It's painfull to watch with the ball winners we have. Galway were at the short passing last Sunday and limerick blew them away.

A few more effective subs are badly needed. Nobody really to give relief to the likes of Kearney, Meade, Copper and Fitzgibbon who run themselves into the ground every game. Nobody to take the burden off of Hoggie, Harnedy and Lehane if they're having off days. Alan Cadogan back next year will be great as it'll allow Kingston to come out of the corner and give some more support on the 40 and strengthen things in general but we badly need a few more top players. Galway have it, Limerick have it, even the likes of Tipp and Clare have quality established men to call on when needed. I do feel like the Cork team is lacking that bite on the edge. Thankfully there is a good crop of underage players coming through and things should be better year on year.
