I find it incredible that main stream media can pick and choose who and what they define as racist.
Sarah Jeong has just been hired by the New York Times despite her clear hatred against white people. What is even more astounding is that the NYT have doubled down on Jeong after seeing her tweets. They have now publicly declared a vote of confidence in her.

I'm not angry about what she said specifically, nor do I get personally upset when I see someone ranting about white people. The problem for me with the modern left is that those in power seem so strangled in this identity politics garbage, in my opinion it's cancer and is hugely dividing. To see the NYT's rewarding and promoting this radical viewpoint is what makes me mad about the situation. It's stemming down from the colleges and seeping into every aspect of society.

True. Of course what the outrage mob also don't seem to get is that by their furious tweeting they're not actually getting through to the decision makers, rather they're making some poor sap who works in customer service's day even tougher (I was that soldier in one of the MNCs once). The radicalized right have been getting people fired since 2014, sorry if you're ignorant of the situation but you really will have to educate yourself. It's also being adopted abroad, in places like South Korea, where sexism comes very easy. Women at gaming companies have been fired for wearing t-shirts that say 'I don't need a prince' even. It's ridiculous mob bull and that is absolutely not a tactic of moderate individuals, it's the radicalized right that mass spam relevant social media accounts to get 'leftist libruls' fired. You just don't hear about it as often because there's no justification to actually fire them as much.

Critical analysis is welcome, to me anyway. This Sarah Jeong character, however, has shown a sustained racist streak over the past few years and it deserves to be called out as such.

This thread is full of extremists, but a moderate could disagree with me on lots of issues and still be a moderate. I'm actually quite conservative leaning in a lot of areas, just not race or gender because I'm not a radicalized right nutbar. An indicator of an extremist would be dismissive and reductive labelling like 'leftist', 'liberal'.
