"yawn" those gaps are poor workmanship, they didn't bother to fill in the gaps between the stencils.

That's interesting. There are two islands on the N20 where the hatched area is bounded by a definite broken line on one or both sides. I always wondered what the regulations were. In the UK it would be OK to enter such an area, from the broken line side, but it appears not so in Ireland.

Nothing too exciting here but got a dashcam about a month ago and this is the first thing of note. Lady enters the roundabout without seeing me, she then sees me at the last second and slams the breaks. Wilton roundabout, Cork.

So many of them make no sense at all and are usually the result of trying to get something resembling a bus lane on a road where there is just no space for bus lanes and "normal" lanes.

I always think its funny when someone reverses back at speed and then slams on like the yellow (lol) bentley driver did.
Its the equivalent of a bull stamping his foot....I'm not sure what reaction they think they are getting, but I have never seen anyone swerve out of the way or anything...it just looks silly to me:o
