Yeah, I think Love Island and WC2018 are both causing problems for the ITV soaps on TV3.

Not even 50,000 difference between the England match and last weeks Brazil match.

And given there were no soaps, due to ITV showing England, fair to say it comfortably beat anything on the parent channel yesterday.

Depending on which criteria you apply, either England vs Belgium or Croatia v Denmark topped the weekly chart - the former had the highest average audience, but the latter's peak during ET and the shootout was 120k higher at 545,000. Elsewhere, Portugal, Brazil and Argentina all drew high ratings, and the Leinster final was significantly more popular than the Munster final (343k vs 273k). Corrie and Emmerdale were virtually unchanged from last week, followed by a significant drop to Tonight with 91,000. Prime Time was the most popular RTE One regular programme, on 269,000.

64,000 for The Six O'Clock Show. First time I've seen it in the Top 20.

Fair Citys ratings are way down. So too are Emmerdale and Coronation Street. I think the networks should really look at reducing the amount of soaps they produce when these big events like Olympics and World Cup is on. It does damage to their ratings. I think Eastenders hit their worst ratings ever last week on BBC, when Love Island was only about 100,000 behind it. This was due to it being shifted to its out of slot time of 9.

Over 200,000 for Love Island on 3e last night. It was also the most watched show in ITV2s history.

be3's repeats of Coro St have help retain some of that audience watch the World Cup with an average of 44,800, way up from previous months of around 25,000.

Though there is not much change in the overall top 20 for be3, with its news getting 25,000 viewers at 10.

Love Island top's 3e 20 with 93,000 adult viewers on average Thursday the 28th June, with an average of 65,000 over the week. Tipping point is at 20 with 27,000 viewers.

TV3's News at 5:30 had an average of 90,000 viewers.
The Tonight Show with an average of 77,000 viewers.
6 ONE had 254,000
Prime Time 244,000

It will be interesting to see if the +1 channels see an increase for the soaps.

Meanwhile, across the water, last night's England game averaged 20m on ITV, so you could probably add another 10m onto that if they do make the Final.

Only show outside sport to get to RTÉ2's top twenty was Irish In Wonderland

TV3's Soaps were in the eye of a storm, with figures on TV3 looking like when they didn't have the ITV soaps.

This Morning return to the top twenty with 78,000 viewers.

Going to be a bumper Sunday for RTE, World Cup final and Kerry v Galway both on in the afternoon.

I'm sure GAA delighted England lost as WC final would have affected attendance at Croke Park.

No Judge Judy next week onwards on TV3 and be3. This is first time since end of 2012 that there will be no Judge Judy on between 4:30-5:30.They had Jeremy Kyle and Come Dine With Me for 6 months before that. And then you can stretch back as far as 2000- mid 2012 for double episodes of Judge Judy at that time.

Wonder why it's been paused. Are they resting it or have they lost the rights?

It's been replaced by Guess This House, a 1 series 25 episodes ITV Studios from 2015, which has already been shown twice on be3 in the last 12 months.

Red Rock Series 3 on BBC1 started very well yesterday. It got the highest share of a programme between the News at 1 to News at 6 on BBC.
