A fire hd tablet is the way to go. They are fantastic value. Then install Google play store. Google for instructions. Easily done. Just a matter of installing 4 files in a certain order. I also recommend installing the Chromecast app.
The 8 or 10 inch is way to go. I got 8 inch for my 81 year old mother. Installed Watts app. She a flyer on it.

If you have a gmail make a new Amazon account and put a . somewhere in the middle (abcd@gmail.com would be a.bcd@gmail.com) , you'll get the month free trial and any email notifications will go to your regular gmail account

Be careful and go back over your orders, one of mine went through and a couple lightning deal items had gone back up to full price by the time I checked out. Had to cancel them and re-order so I hope they put my boxes together or I'll be getting millions of separate deliveries..
