Not much of a discount at £20 (Was £189.99, now £169.99) but it's the first time I've seen the new model reduced.

i used smart proxy DNS and was working on an amazon firestick but when i got my shield at the start of the year Netflix will not fireup when going through their DNS servers.
if you change your google dns to getflix dns servers there are no issues?

I've had Nord for some time now and tried recently and was not really usable on an Android Tablet (US server). Normally has been fine in the past. Obviously a little slower but totally workable.

Have a weird Amazon Prime issue here.
Account is set to UK, and UK content is viewable on the Laptop and via the Prime Video app on my phone.
However when I log into the Prime Video app on my Shields, its Irish content only.
Have signed out, cleared App data and cache, restarted all with the same outcome.
Any ideas?

on the shield there are location settings you need to change and another setting where wifi is always searching i think, there are two or three things need changing off the top of my head

This will disable the volume control on the remote and when you change channels it won’t go up or down, just use the regular tv remote

I managed to resist temptation on the Shield, though the extra price drop should make it a no-brainer for anyone - by consensus the best android box on the market.

My own cheapo box is running perfectly on a custom ROM, and I can't justify changing it just because..

Will wait till it gives up the ghost..

Have a back up, and a HTPC, and a camel alert for further price drops on the Shield, and a credit card wilting already from Prime Day.

Lads is the shield that good? I had a lot of problems with two cheap boxes and then upgraded to a Minix Neo U1 but I still found it quite glitchy and unreliable.
