I'd say I was there about 3 minutes, not a single car near the brigde had moved in that time. Don't worry, I turned round when it was safe to do so, unlike those gombeens

It depends on what way they were going, that's the turn to Leixlip, most likely trying to get to the M50, I'd imagine the town was a bottleneck already... I went back and took a few turns until I got to the strawberry beds, then continued on my merry way

That person was caught soon after and the license plate of this one is clearly visible too.

It doesn't look as severe here but I was climbing up a bit of a hill and was in a long right hand turn. It really wasn't the best place for a car to overtake a tractor. It was closer than the video makes it look.

So for once the camera came in useful other than mild amusement.

Back story: Tourists in the white Kia I think it was (Rental) they beeped as they thought Merc was going to bump them. As you can see Mr.Merc jumps out and starts shouting expletives but...... bloody automatics :eek:

Damage to rental was minimal no cracks but a fair size paint rub and the car had as new miles.

Mods I'm not up on the whole blur editing so if there's to much info reg/faces feel free to delete.

Can verify that road is dreadful and i'm always cautious when passing in the direction the OP went. Very easy to accidentally go straight through the stop signs.

Really should have a few 'prepare to stop' signs and 'stop in xx meters' etc. on it.

Not sure if perhaps a Garda wannabe, Chief Fire Officer (legit use of blues I believe) or impatient rule breaker? Passed the reg onto the local station anyway and they can figure it out. 'Someone acting the bollocks' is the opinion I formed (rightly or wrongly).

Well you know what I mean. Whatever local policing authority it is. Would say the tourist would be very relieved to hear that someone came forward with dash cam to show they weren't at fault.

I'd say the car hire company felt $o $orry to $ee the damage.

Also downloaded the footage to flash drive and gave it to him as he didn't have any memory stick etc.
