BMW quoted me €760 for a new Vanos unit, managed to get him to reduce it down to €684 with discount but they won't have it until roughly the 16th :eek: Managed to get one off of CarParts-Pros for €685 delivered so hoping I get that within the week

If you have an NCT which is out by months and months but you have a new one booked are you "covered legally" so to speak? Car is taxed and insured as is.

No, you can only legally drive it to the test center and back or to a garage for NCT repairs.
