A lot of CDN providers use smart 'Anonymizer' code that will identify abnormal traffic patterns, look up an IP database and decide what to do with it, in most cases it may block it. The VPN team will just keep shifting IPs around but in the long term this will never change, and likely become more common as a lot of a Anonymizer code is machine learningg code.

Netflix working from me just watched Thor Ragnarok no issue but as others have said BBC iPlayer is down. I hope they can come up with a workaround soon. Btw I'm using a Nvidia Shield

Anyone know of a similar deal as this seems to be expired. I am setting off on a rtw trip shortly and want to be able to watch rte player / iplayer / netflix etc and be able to access websites like couchsurfing which is banned in some countries.

Problem with this is I've paid for a lifetime service.....

What to do if they can no longer guarantee service, a month or two in.

Yep same here, kinda happy it was only 17 euro or thereabouts lol. I think (Hope) it's just a DNS routing problem as some are saying it's fine for them so could be my ISP ratting us out (I'm on Eir for my sins) Also the netflix account could be flagged too...

US netflix is pretty decent a good few extra tv shows and films versus the irish one.

iplayer been down last few days they said they are looking into it. Its pretty handy to have on the amazon fire tv

Vpns and getting American Netflix etc has been discussed on these boards for as long as I can remember tbh.

I think you might be getting confused with discussing things like accessing piracy sites, illegality or drug taking.

No, discussing bypassing geoblock used to be a no no, didn't hear that had changed but maybe it has.

I would have challenged the card (personally) tbh. There is nothing illegal about using a vpn in Ireland to the best of my knowledge (in fact i have to use one for work from time to time)

I've read numerous threads on vpns here over the years, in fact it is only via boards that I even heard of sites and services such as tunnel bear, getflix and non unlimited.

Tbf we were warned that discussing it was not on, so my fault.

I think it'd be a good thing if we could carry on discussing it because it's useful. But if you use the terrible boards search function with term geoblock you'll find plenty of examples of discussions being stopped.
