I just turn them off on a case by case basis (games for example). When you get a notification, don't swipe to clear it - swipe right a little bit and you'll see a cog (settings) icon. You can disable notifications for that app there and then.

I wanted to try the BBCs VR app to watch the world cup.

But it geoblocked.
I tried a vpn but on googleplay it still said its not available in my area. And I cant find the apk to download anywhere else.

Anyone get it working?

i did by using tunnelbear...then clearing data and cache on play store.
but the app is ****e...slow buggy and kept saying servers unavailable

If you were in the US and had a play-music account you get to keep what is now renamed youtube RED for no extra charge but we don't get an ad free youtube unless we pay extra... This bugs me as I had Google-play-music from the start and was so looking forward to RED coming out over here.

Suppose you can recoup some of the money by getting the youtube premium family plan account (17.99 P/M) as that can have 6 accounts and they all get ad free music and ad free youtube videos...
