Matt Kemp is leading the NL in batting average. I know it's the end of May, but that's pretty impressive considering when the Dodgers traded for him, most people didnt expect him to get to wear the uniform

They had a bad game last night, came back late to tie it 5-5 and then gave up 4 runs in the 9th. Bullpen was definitely a bit shaky. Paxton is back on the mound today so it should be a bounceback win.

Their bullpen has a ton of depth so it could work out well. It would be nice to have them come in and pitch in low pressure situations though!

Somehow despite all the injuries and suspensions (just last night they lose Segura and Vincent), the Mariners have somehow climbed to 12 games above .500 and within one game of the Astros. It's really unbelievable. The secret has been great pitching and timely hitting. The bullpen has been lights out and the starting pitching has been good enough (Felix's last start excepted).

Hanley Ramirez released by the Red Sox. How long before he's a Met? He's that kind of age and production.

(edit - although he has a large vesting option for 2019 so that will scare everyone off probably, especially the tight Mets).

Apparently if he's on the roster for 172 out of the 187 days of the season he loses a year of eligibility so in theory they could bring him up now and not lose a year.
