I have seen lots of ads about the upcoming royal wedding of Harry and Meghan and i really couldn't care less i dont know why so many Irish people have such a fascination with the British royal family. People get married all the time i dont see this one as being any different just because it happens to involves royals who cares they are just people like everyone else at the end of the day but all i hear is never ending fawning over it. I didnt watch William and Kates wedding and i sure as hell wont be watching this one either because i have far better things to be doing.

Besides that I think the whole thing was lovely. I found the american-english crossover very charming (that Gospel choir was amazing!) and it felt very modern for a Royal affair. I genuinely felt how nervous Harry was, how his brother tried to calm him down was adorable.

Watching the highlights. I think her dress is beautiful. Not like some of the awful tat you see around these days. Also a fan of her headpiece.

I couldn't really give a fig about the whole thing but jesus isn't there enough bad news in the world day in day out. Let them eat cake.

I realk like her style, it's simple, well made and flattering. I would say wedding dress providers won't be mad about the dress it requires perfect tailoring and there is no lace to cover up stitching cock ups.

I'm not into royalty anywhere in the world and I'm even less into weddings (they are dead boring, except for the groom and bride, I guess).
And saturday is laundry day and cleaning the house at carry's.

But I have to admit that I was glued to my laptop watching a bloody wedding, a royal wedding at that! I really have to do a bit of soul searching ....

Anyway, the dress was gorgeous, the veil was sensational, the ceremony a bit stilted but enormously livened up by that American preacher. I was waiting with a big grin that the congregation jumps up and starts to dance. But hey, stuck-up British aristocracy, no chance there.
The music was great, even dazzling from the gospel choir. It was the most beautiful rendition of Stay by me I've ever heard.

And have you seen the dress Meghan wore to the party? Now there's glamour!

There, I admitted my guilty pleasure.
But we all need a bit of romance and pomp and circumstance on a day of shootings, killings and plane crashes. Not to mention that saddo in the White House. It's good for the soul, I guess.

At least the laundry is done, but the vacuum cleaner still looks a bit lost and lonely in the middle of the living room.

And also requires a perfect figure to make it work.

Her evening gown is gorgeous as well.

All in all I'd choose this wedding over his brother's any day. It was good fun and everyone seemed to have a great time. The lack of politicians and international royalty took the heavy formal feel off it.

I like that Kate looked tired...it makes me think that maybe she and William are hands on parents and don't sit around whilst the nanny does it all. I know she still has it a hundred times better than some new mums, but I get the idea that Diana's boys are a lot more human than some past royals. And some present ones.

I agree. To do simple is quite difficult. But the new Duchess of Sussex carried off the look with aplomb. The designer of the dress is just amazing.

I had a little chuckle to myself about "lace to cover up stitching cock ups". Many moons ago I made the outfits for my two flower girls. I used lace to cover up my lack of sewing skills.

She looked amazing but tired to me. But then she has a newborn and still recovering from childbirth.

The press will be very keen to play that the two women hate each other - they did that back in the '80's with Diana and Fergie when the second woman came on the scene. And by all accounts they got on grand. They'll do the same with these two as well.

Not a royal family follower in any way but as I watch the run up to the wedding on catchup I'm struck by how beautiful the Windsor castle area is on what seems like a glorious day.

Now the bitchy part. Don't like what either Harry or William are wearing. William is wearing rope.

Kate did look tired alright. I´m watching some more clips of all the style. Poor auld Beatrice and Eugenie God love them. Their mother looked gorgeous! Idris Elba´s fiancee wore a strange kind of dress do you think? It reminded me of a type of uniform. George and Amal were amazing as was the woman in the beautiful green dress.

There won't be any such referendum. Monarchy in the UK is quite popular, with one poll ranking them with a 70% approval rating. Taking the monarchy out of Britain is like taking the soul out of Britain. It's what the United Kingdom is. Without a Kingdom it'd just be the United. And that sounds terrible as a name.

Plus, it makes no difference to us here in Ireland. We dont have a monarchy and it's going great for us, but I don't think Britian would do well as a republic.
