Well... i grew up with the police driving Chevrolet suburbans (actually quite handy, heard them coming from 4 streets away when you were up to no good) in the city en Porsches on the motorways.
It just doesnt get better when they start driving VW diesels

For our last two holidays we went to the Netherlands and the cops were very visible presence even though we were in a rural area. Wouldn't take long to gather up that many cop cars.

While that has been a way to get away in other cases this time it wasnt exactly this guys' best move.

He was arrested by the Germans in this clip as he still had 311 days in jail outstanding there.
When those days are done, he ll get his day in the Dutch courts.

That was my exact thought - keystone cops. I'm afraid we're showing our age. There were at least 3 times when they had an easy opportunity to box/block the van, and bodged it.

Having looked at it in full screen, there's a truck and a van blocking from seeing far ahead, and the car comes out from in front of them, so I'm guessing the kamikaze driver was avoiding trucks.

There was a bit, that if he reversed into the 666 reg car, he could made that car into an obstacle for those behind it, and then have been able to escape to the point of ditching the van and grabbing another form of transport!
