Children not being taught respect for nature

Ahhhh for forks sake!

I was in Smithfield yesterday feeding some pigeons. I gained their trust and had two or three eating from my hand and I was even taking photos up close wit the other hand.

Suddenly, as I was about to snap a picture, a five year old kid ran through the pigeons on the ground and came very close up to me to scare the pigeons in my hand. His hag of a mother cackled like a witch and encouraged him.

What a bitch and what a brat of a child. Do children have no respect for nature?

I was clearly interacting with the birds and feeding / taking pictures.

Pure scum.

Exactly. When our 2 year used to throw tantrums when out, i just carry him out to the car and go home. Kids are smart, they learn quickly .

I don't think I've ever come across any child that doesn't like to chase the pigeons away its natural when you're a kid i used to chase them as well when my parents brought me to the park as a youngster its a perfectly natural part of childhood i don't see the harm in it are you that much of a crank that you let this bother you so much.

Y'know as irritating and all as I can imagine it was for you, you're not a pigeon whisperer, and other people too are just as much part of nature as the flying rats you were feeding which are actually considered a pest in urban areas due to the fact they spread disease and cause pollution and property damage -

Oh noooo, a young child scared your little birdies away while you were having a romantic moment with them. How will you ever recover from this life threatening moment??

Get a ****in grip man, especially if you think they are scum and what other names you proceeded to call them for what was an innocent action.

Here's a tip for you, get out of the city to somewhere remote and have your moment with the birds, no interruptions etc.

I see morons in the park (which is next to the River Barrow) here all the time climbing over railings to let their kids pester the swans. Then the idiot kids start screaming for absolutely nothing and the mother or father tells them the swans will eat them instead of telling them that if they'd shut up screaming and frightening the swans and calm the fuck down they wouldn't go near them.

Then there's the little fuckers that throw bread at the swans then discard the plastic wrapper on the ground. Somehow I think the swans would be better of without mouldy bread and not having the river polluted with plastic.

And that's just normal average families. The real scumbags love nothing more than spitting at the swans or throwing rocks at them.

Well, that's a whole different story than chasing feral pigeons in Dublin city. The Barrow is one of the most stunning rivers in the country. I've canoed it a good few times before it was properly navigable. Where are you based?
