Have the oven on for baked oats. Never had them before but have been advised they're like eating dessert from breakfast which is definitely something I can get on board with.

Just back from a kids party where I lost track of little sweets and chocolate so putting on spaghetti for slow cooker bolognese for the men and a lovely fresh basil, oregano, feta, garlic and chilli pasta thing for me.

Chill the fizzy drink of your choice, chill a pint glass, get a tub of good hard ice-cream. Pour half a glass of fizz into glass, add a scoop of ice-cream, top up with more fizz/ice-cream as desired. I sometimes crumble a chocolate flake into it. Drink with a straw and spoon!

A drop of rum is supposed to enhance them too.

Same here tbh ,dilutable orange was our drink so ice cream OR a fizzy mineral was a treat !
Both together was pure enjoyment

Same here.

I first encountered them when visiting an aunt of my mother's down the country who had a small shop. The luxury of ice-cream added to Bubble Up still stands as one of my happiest childhood memories.

A treat at home was adding Andrews' Liver Salts to water for a fizzy drink.

We used to make ice pops out of the diluted orange in a Tubbaware set bought on the weekly. I remember my Mam battering the head off me when I made one without diluting it.:eek:

I was about to ask Grandeeod was he sure he wasn't related to me as it was the same here!

Tupperware ice pop makers , cereal, sugar, flour, in round tupperware containers with orange lids , did any home not have them ?
