Despite the fact that Jonathan is a fairly common name, many people spell it wrongly. Almost everyone who is called Jonathan spells it like that. I do not take offence at misspellings (I'm used to them), but welcome correct ones!

I hear you.....and whilst I know people who spell it both ways so to speak, the two Johnathans I work with spell it with the additional "h" so I'm conditioned at this stage to write it thus. They are both Yanks though so maybe that's something to do with it?

Fateen would likely spell it Jonatin so to speak, being fone-etic and dat.
