The local sergeant I meet was so lovely, very supportive maybe if yours was the same you could pop in or give a ring to see if there is any progress. I emailed my college lecturer who I had put down and he hasn't received a phone call and my employer hasn't mentioned it to me so I'm sure she didn't receive one either. When I was leaving the station the super told the sergeant to make dealing with my file and priority and get it sent back up asap.
