He has to be one of the greatest leaders the world has ever known, not just a stuffed suit like his wooden American counterpart. His steadfast resolve in the face of a proxy war being waged in Ukraine has to be admired, a war that would never have happened if billions weren't poured into Ukraine to kickstart a coup.

Like him or loathe him there is no doubt that Vladimir Putin is a very shrewd operator who is consistently one step ahead of the game.

I see helicopters flying across a rural area those helicopters are not hovering over Sevastopol city. The video and pictures from the city only show soldiers.

The last video the Russians had already established themselves in the area for weeks. I never saw Russian tanks blocking streets in Sevastopol city. The people are ethnically Russian to say the Crimea people are Ukrainian and felt the Russians are occupiers is not true. They welcomed them with open arms.

Tatars have disappeared since Crimea was annexed. Doors of their homes were marked. Been pretty fearful for them I imagine. Sounds like Nazi behaviour to me...

They have been there for decades under agreement to keep the black sea open for the 6 other countries who happen to share the black sea ,

Ukraine didn't exist as a state either. It was part of the Soviet Union as well.
After the breakup of the Soviet Union the Crimeans expressed continuously their desire to NOT be a part of an independent Ukraine.

That is conveniently overlooked by many.

It doesn't say it all. Crimea requested a referendum in the early 90's to secede from Ukraine. You're trying to say that Kruschev's transfer of Crimea to Ukraine is meaningless because the USSR no longer exists. That kind of stupid argument says it all. Whatever stipulation you are trying to make about the USSR no longer existing then you must apply to the status of Ukraine at the time as well.

No, it wasn't. Crimea was part of Russia for over 200 years and this preceded the USSR.

So that "mutes" YOUR point.

In 1991 94% of Crimeans voted to become an autonomous Republic. In 1994 they reaffirmed that they did not wish to be part of a Ukrainian State.

In 2014 they once again reaffirmed this. Now you can make up stories all you want about coercion and "little green men" and a bunch of other nonsense. The fact remains that the Crimeans have NEVER wanted to be governed by Kiev and have always wanted to be part of Russia.

You don't like that fact so you make up stories about 300% of the population voting or other such silliness.

You make up stories about Tatars and about how the Crimeans are now living under oppression. Why don't you actually go there and see if Crimea is living under the kind of fake tyranny that you are trying to sell?

Your story doesn't work, mate because it's patently untrue and nobody's buying it.

You also conveniently chose to omit the fact that the 1997 "Friendship Pact" ensured the respect by both parties regarding citizens in each land.

This was blatantly violated by Kiev when then announced ethnic cleansing of Novorrusians and sent death squads to Crimea.

You can't have it both ways.

Kiev welshed on multiple deals.
The Crimeans asked for and received protection.
They are happy now and safe.

You don't like that because it doesn't sit with your narrative.
